Using Pinterest for business marketing - Business Management Daily

PinterestPinterest, the fastest-growing social media, is a powerhouse for business marketing. The foundation of Pinterest is the ability to ?pin? a picture and add a comment while allowing others to re-pin your picture and share it with their connections. Pinterest makes pictures go viral.

Here are the highlights of using Pinterest for business:

??? ?You need someone on Pinterest to in??vite you to join or apply for an invite.

??? ?Use the same email address as your Twitter account to share your pins on Twitter.

??? ?Pinterest accounts can be under a business name or a person?s name.? Use keywords in your descriptions, and add your website (and phone number if appropriate) for maximum exposure.

??? ?Make sure not to hide your profile from search engines; you want to be found on Pinterest.

??? ?Get creative with Pinterest. If you are a shoe vendor, pins of all your shoes is not effective. Instead, pin places those shoes can take you.

??? ?Align with images that reinforce your brand?s message. For example, AARP has a board for ?quotes to live by.?

??? ?Create the best board on a topic and others will re-pin. Adding a link to your website will increase website traffic.

??? ?Add Infographics! They go viral more frequently than other pictures.

??? ?Let customers send you pictures engaging with your brand and pin them on your board.

??? ?Host a contest. Ask Pinterest users to create a board about what they love most about your product. For example, doing something great while wearing your shoes.
