Well Dodgers right-hander Zack Greinke will at least have somewhere nice to recover (on his piles of money) from his broken collarbone (the Dodgers pitcher, who recently signed a $147-million/six-year contract, got himself into a little brawl last night). Meanwhile, he recently picked up a newly-built Craftsmany house in Studio City--it was designed by architect Ray Keller and designer Dixon Chang (and, according to the listing, was "Green & Green inspired"; you know it's a serious influence when it's misspelled). The house sits on more than an acre and comes with seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, "12 car motor court, 4 garage spaces, a water feature & walking bridge," breakfast room, dining room, outdoor barbecue and dining patio with fireplace, a bar/pub area, and a master suite with a sitting room with a wetbar and its own laundry. There's also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse with a game room, a pool with fire pit, and a citrus orchard. According to the LA Times, Greinke paid $4.575 million.
Meanwhile, in South Park, left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu (whose six-year deal is only worth $36 million) recently picked up a two-bedroom-plus-den unit at the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live. According to The Agency, which reps the Residences, Ryu's unit is 2,125 square feet on the northwest corner of the building, but there's no other info to be had.
