Using Technology to Promote Your Business - Real Estate Leads

There is no doubt in this technological age that having a website is your sales window onto the world and if you don?t have a website yet or if it?s not generating enough interest, then you are missing out on some incredible financial and marketing opportunities. Think about it, you have a real estate business.? You have built it up out of nothing and your reputation is squeaky clean. You are your own brand. People respect you and they know that you work with integrity and that you care about your customers. But this knowledge is all locally based, it?s restricted to a small pool of people but what if you could increase this awareness ? not just to nearby counties but across the globe?

?

You may be wondering what benefits there could be at being known globally but there are other real estate related products that could be sold once you establish yourself as an expert in the field. Getting your website optimized so that it attracts plenty of visitors is your key goal in the first instance however. You can have the best products, be the best salesperson and have the best intent but if no-one knows about your business, then you will not make any money or receive job satisfaction either.

?

Let?s look at SEO. This is crucial to your online business. If you have not heard of the term before, it means Search Engine Optimization and simply means that you make sure your website is as good as it can be so that if any potential customer types relevant keywords into the search field ? for example ? Real Estate Agents + ?North England, they will find the most popular real estate agents listed in that area. You probably use keywords all the time when you take on your own searches but may not have known the relevance.

?

With this in mind, how can you improve your own search engine rankings?

?

  1. Create a blog. Blog or blogging means ?weblog? and it?s an online journal/diary in principle. You add a blog to your website and it enables you to talk directly to your visitors in a much more personable tone than you would use generally on your website. A blog allows you to reach out to your visitors and to become visible as the person behind the website. They can get to know you through your writing and if you make your blogs interesting enough, they will keep coming back to read more.
  2. Produce high-quality content for your website and do so on a regular basis. The more you can add to your website each week, the better your site will rank. Articles should be key worded (using SEO principles) but not stuffed with keywords as this will detract from the readability of the article. Keywords should be used for all content including your blog posts but keep it simple.
  3. Research your keywords wisely and use phrases or words that are unique. You also need to think about what your customers will search for when they are looking for a real estate service and try to emulate the same keywords.
  4. Make sure you have social media links on your website too. If people like your article they may well share it with their friends and family and your blog posts or articles can seriously go viral. Don?t? forget to share your own articles or posts with your social media friends too.
  5. Create an environment that is conducive to your visitors asking questions. Providing a welcoming and open environment like this is a real positive. Make sure you have a contact us button so they can email you direct.
  6. Set up a newsletter so that you can capture email addresses. You can produce a weekly or monthly newsletter and use this to redirect the reader back to your website or to offer promotions, competitions or just for product launches.

?

Having a website is an excellent resource for creating new sales and for forging new contacts. Just make sure your website is as efficient and interesting as possible. Think quality content, regular updates and provide a chance for visitors to contact you for further information.
